Kombucha Workshop

Kombucha Workshop
Thursday, September 21 at 5:30pm

Kombucha tea is an effervescent fermented drink made with tea, sugar, and a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast that contains B vitamins and probiotic microorganisms.

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Colleen Cavagna and learn the steps to make Kombucha at home. You'll be introduced to a SCOBY - Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast - which does all the work fermenting the tea and which produces the beneficial enzymes, acids, probiotics, and antioxidants in the finished drink. We'll also sample different flavors of this delicious beverage.
