The Hick Ups at the Plamer Opera House

Local musicians The Hick Ups will perform at The Palmer Opera House in Cuba, NY on Sunday July 16th, at 2 PM. The Hick Ups are a Bluegrass and Country band from The Southern Tier of Western New York. The band mixes traditional bluegrass, Old Country and Rock songs into an enjoyable, fun format. Whether it be Johnny Cash or Hank Williams, Flatt and Scruggs, or hicked up Rolling Stones or Bangles tunes, the band serves up audience friendly, good-time music. Bob Muhlbauer, who still fronts the long established Ozone Rangers Band is on guitar, Mike Rocco is on banjo and Jack Little is on bass, both from the old Ellicottville, N.Y. based bluegrass group, Split Rail, and Kevin McClory, formerly of The Usual Suspects, is on dobro. Three and four part harmonies put the icing on a nice musical cake. The band performs every Monday at The Ole Hickory Tavern, in Salamanca, N.Y. the first and last Tuesdays of the month at The Gin Mill, in Ellicottville, and also has played regularly at The Four Mile Brewing Company in Olean, Talty’s in Olean, The Shamrock Inn in Sardinia, The I.O.O.B. Club in Franklinville, The American Grille in East Aurora, and The V.F.W. in Springville. Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be available. Donations to benefit the ongoing maintenance and improvements at the Palmer Opera House. The Palmer Opera House in Cuba is a vintage theater located in New York.
