County Chamber to Provide Free Access to Grants Database
BELMONT, NY, JUNE 1, 2009 – The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce has subscribed to a Grants Database as a benefit for Chamber members and for Allegany County Agencies, Non-Profits, Municipalities, Not-for-Profits, and start-up agencies.
Services such as access to a database of this nature are an excellent reason for Non-Profits and Municipalities to join a Chamber of Commerce. This database allows the entity searching for funding opportunities to search through Federal, Foundation, and Corporate databases by keywords, program areas, funding agencies, and announcement dates for grants that are most suited for their needs. The Chamber will supply access to the database and basic tutorial of the site.
Chamber Executive Director, Sherry Grugel, says, “Helping Allegany County Non-Profits and Municipalities find grant money rather than always seeking out support from the county (tax dollars) will help the county overall. This is a great opportunity to find outside sources of income.”
For more information or to acquire access to this database contact Sherry Grugel, at the Greater Allegany County Chamber of Commerce, 268-5500 or sgrugel@alleganychamber.org or visit www.alleganychamber.org.
